Made by the traditional method with grape drying and slow fermentation in small wooden caratelli, the regulations require at least 3 years of maturation in caratelli. However, Lungarotti usually ages longer to achieve greater complexity.
Sweet, amber-colored, with notes of dried figs, honey, candied orange peel, nuts, and spices.
Pairing perfectly with traditional dry pastries (Umbrian tozzetti, similar to cantucci), blue cheeses, or as a meditation wine.
