Made from 100% Syrah grapes sourced from the La Monaca vineyard, 320 m above sea level, featuring sandy, limestone-rich soils and northeast exposure that offers cooler ripening and excellent aromatic development. Traditionally fermented in red wine (approximately 15 days), with full malolactic conversion. Aged for around 14 months in French oak (350 L barrels), followed by further bottle ageing before release.Deep ruby red colour. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, balsamic hints, herbs, graphite, chocolate, and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, structured, yet balanced, with soft tannins, good freshness, and a long, persistent finish. Pairings: Excellent with roasted and grilled red meats, game, stews, lamb, duck, cured meats, medium-aged cheeses, and rich dishes such as truffle risotto. Best served at 16–18 °C.
