The Tasca d'Almerita “Nozze d’Oro” Tenuta Regaleali Sicilia DOC 2022 is a historic white wine produced at Tenuta Regaleali, in the heart of Sicily. The wine was originally created in 1984 to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary (“Nozze d’Oro”) of Count Giuseppe Tasca and his wife Franca. Bright straw yellow with golden reflections.. Pronounced and complex aromas of white peach, yellow apple, melon, ripe citrus, bergamot, chamomile, white flowers, and Mediterranean herbs. Subtle hints of almond, honey, wet stone, and saline minerality develop with aeration.. Dry, medium (+) body, with refreshing acidity and a smooth, layered texture. Inzolia contributes softness and roundness, while Sauvignon Tasca provides lift, aromatic intensity, and precision. The palate shows citrus zest, orchard fruit, mineral notes, and a long savoury finish. Very good quality wine with excellent balance, intensity, complexity, and length. It also has good ageing potential for a Sicilian white wine, developing tertiary notes of honey, saffron, toasted nuts, and light hydrocarbon nuances over time, Boss.
