Moscato Passito Piemonte DOC La Bella Estate 2023 Vite Colte

The Moscato Passito Piemonte DOC La Bella Estate 2023 from Vite Colte is made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes, dried in the passito style to concentrate sugars and aromas. It has a golden yellow colour with amber reflections. On the nose it is rich and intense, with notes of dried apricot, honey, candied fruit, orange peel, vanilla and orange blossom, together with the characteristic musky scent of Moscato. On the palate it is sweet, full and warm, but the lively acidity keeps it balanced and prevents it from being cloying. The finish is long and persistent, with a honeyed and fruity elegance. It is best served slightly chilled, around 12 to 14 degrees, in small dessert wine glasses. This wine pairs very well with fruit-based desserts such as apricot or peach tarts, citrus pastries and almond biscuits, as well as with honey cakes and other nut-based sweets. It also works beautifully with savoury pairings like aged cheeses, including Parmigiano-Reggiano or aged Gouda, and with blue cheeses like Roquefort or Stilton, where the sweet-salty contrast shines. It can also be enjoyed simply on its own as a meditation wine at the end of a meal.
