The Marchese di Villamarina Alghero DOC Riserva 2019 from Sella & Mosca is a high-quality red wine made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the Alghero region of Sardinia. This wine combines tradition and modern winemaking techniques, representing an example of excellence in Sardinian oenology. Grape Variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Region: Soils rich in iron clay and wind-deposited sands, located in Alghero, with a warm, sunny, and ventilated climate. Vinification: Controlled-temperature maceration for one day, followed by about three weeks of alcoholic fermentation with gradually increasing temperatures (20–30°C). Ageing: 18 months in French oak barriques (50% new, 50% second passage) An additional 12 months in the bottle before release.
