Appearance: clear, medium intensity, deep ruby red with garnet reflections. Nose: medium-plus intensity, complex; aromas of ripe cherry, plum, dried herbs, leather, and subtle spice from oak ageing. Palate: dry, medium-full body, high acidity, firm and fine-grained tannins, alcohol around 14%; flavours of black cherry, plum, cedar, and spice; well-balanced, long and persistent finish. Food Pairing: roasted or grilled red meats, game, aged cheeses; ideal for hearty Tuscan dishes and special occasions.
