18 months in French oak barriques, followed by bottle aging. Grapes: 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Vineyard: Single-vineyard “Bellovedere” in the Terre dei Vestini subzone, Spoltore (Pescara), on clay soils at about 200 meters above sea level. Deep ruby red with garnet reflections. Complex bouquet with notes of black cherry, ripe plum, blackcurrant, dark spices, tar, and licorice. Full-bodied and refined, with noble, well-structured tannins. Mineral hints add vibrancy and elegance, giving the wine power and integrity. Long aftertaste with notes of leather, tobacco, and cloves. Pairings with roasted or grilled red meats, braised beef and stews, aged cheeses, especially pecorino or hard cheeses.
