Wines of Italy Ltd.

The La Valentina estate was born on the hills overlooking Spoltore, which is near Pescara in central Italy, in 1990. The owners, Sabatino, Roberto and Andrea Di Properzio, have been running the company since 1994. Moved by their conviction that improvement comes only through respect for natural equilibria, year on year they have rigorously applied their philosophy that forbids the unrestrained use of technology and chemicals. They have decided to intervene as little as possible in what are natural processes, adhering to the concept that high-quality DOC wine “has the mark of the vine on its grapes.” Their wines are natural products of their terroir – the unique combination of terrain and soil, which they try to convey in every bottle and which is the secret of their wines’ unique taste. The local microclimate and the land itself, to which the vines are bound and so well-adapted, give rise to wines of a inimitable, unique character.
