The Colomba Bianca Winery was founded in 1970 as a cooperative of wine growers from he province of Trapani in southeastern Sicily. At present, Colomba Bianca is the largest Sicilian cooperative, with 5 wineries, 2,118 winegrowers, and around 8,100 hectares of vineyards across the provinces of Trapani, Palermo and Agrigento. The vineyards are spread across a vast pedoclimatic area, from low-lying coasts to altitudes of 600m above sea level. Each winery specialises in working with specific grape varietals, allowing the winegrowers and oenologists to best express the qualities of each grape varietal and the associated microclimates in which they work.
