Established in 1970, Caparzo is one of Tuscany’s most historic wineries, and is amongst those that contributed to the international fame of Brunello di Montalcino. It similarly did much to promote the renowned ‘Supertuscan’ wines of the 1970s, when winemakers ignored the prestige of DOC and DOCG appellations in favour of experimentation with international grape varietals.

Today, owner Elizabetta Angelina Gnudi, and winemakers Massimo Bracalente and Francesca Arquint, continue to blend tradition and modernity, a marriage that truly captures Tuscany’s dynamic winemaking culture. From the timeless Brunello di Montalcino and Chianti Classico wines to the experimental Supertuscans, Caparzo produces some of the finest expressions of Tuscan wines. With over 200 hectares of vineyards throughout Tuscany, its wines are served at official state dinners, as well as at some of the finest restaurants in the world.
